Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) inserts are premium superhard cutting tools designed for high-performance machining of ferrous materials. As the second-hardest known material — surpassed only by diamond — CBN delivers exceptional wear resistance, thermal stability, and chemical inertness when machining hardened steels, cast irons, and superalloys .

Unlike diamond tooling, which reacts chemically with iron-based materials, CBN is specifically engineered for ferrous workpiece applications, offering tool life up to 50x longer than conventional carbide inserts.
